Welcome to the Friends of Beyond Newsletter

The Friends of Beyond Steering Committee agreed that a monthly email newsletter is the best method to communicate with Beyond residents in the intervening period up to the formation of the Friends of Beyond Incorporated Association. Its continuation after that point will be a decision for the newly elected Association Committee.

We’ve certainly been experiencing the depths of winter this last month. It’s either been heavy clouds, gusty conditions and driving rain or clear sunny days with chilly temperatures at night and early in the morning. For those of you out and about early in the day you may have seen the white mists over the lakes. Now that can make you shiver!

Luckily for us the clear sunny days have been frequent enough to allow many of us to still appreciate our beautiful surroundings either walking, exercising or just being outside during the day.

The bird and plant life at the moment seems to be thriving following the good rains and the filling of the Beyond lakes. Its been wonderful observing the flowering trees, flourishing plants and the birdlife antics in the lakes. As cold as it is the birds certainly seem to enjoy diving and splashing in the lakes. Brrr! Not for me!

We’re certainly spoilt here at Beyond with the constant entertainment provided by the animals and birdlife and the joy of experiencing the spectacular landscape.

And it is this appreciation that is driving the Steering Committee towards formation of the Friends of Beyond Association to preserve and improve our community assets.
